BQQ-5D suite:
WAA (wide-aperture passive array),
BQS-24 nav./ice-avoidance,
TB-23 towed array,
TB-16D towed array
EW:
WLQ-4(V)1 suite,
BLD-1 D/F

Machinery:
1 G.E. S6W pressurized-water reactor (200 Mw), . . . drive; 1 pump-jet; 45,500 shp-1 (SSN 23: 2) drop-down azimuthal maneuvering thruster(s)

Electric:
6,000 kw tot. (2 turbogenerators + auxiliary diesel set)

Crew:
12 officers, 121 enlisted

Hull systems:
· Test depth: 600 m.
· Design results in significant improvements in speed, quietness, weapons load, sonar processing, etc., over the Los Angeles class.
· Are able to travel at up to 20 kts while silent.
· Designed for reliability and ease of maintenance, to operate for 15 years before first overhaul.
· The submarines have a smaller length-to-beam ratio than the SSN 688 class to improve maneuverability. Retractable bow planes and six fixed stern fins are fitted.
· A small wedge at the base of the forward edge of the sail improves hydrodynamic flow.
· The propeller is of shrouded, pump-jet configuration.
· Pressure hull constructed of HY-100 steel.
· SSN 21 was to receive an anechoic external hull coating during her builder's yard availability in 1999.
· Has a drop-down azimuthal maneuvering thruster aft.

Combat systems:
· Have Lockheed Martin BSY-2(V) Combat Control System.
· The Submarine Active Detection System (SADS), with bow-mounted MF active and HF active sonar capability, is fitted.
· The BQQ-5D passive sonar suite includes three flank arrays per side. (Note: We refer to these as the Wide Aperture Arrays or WAA.)
· The TB-23 thin-line towed array has full-spectrum acoustic processing.
· Normally carry 12 Tomahawk missiles
· The torpedo tubes were originally referred to as being 30 inches in diameter, but liners and other fittings restrict the diameter of weapons and remotely controlled reconnaissance vehicles launched from them to 26.5 inches.
· The launch system is virtually soundless; however, the outer doors cannot be opened when the submarine is traveling at maximum speeds.

In the game the Seawolf is equipped with:
· Mark 48 ADCAP Torpedoes
· TLAM (Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles)
· TASM (Tomahawk Anti-Ship Missiles)
